Israeli Fire Crews Join Fight Against California Wildfires

Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg welcomed a group of about a dozen Israeli firefightersin front of city hall. The crews got the call to help about 72 hours ago, so they packed up their gear and spent 15 hours traveling. The firefighters are from Ashkelon, Sacramento’s sister city in Israel. They are set to be in the area for about two weeks.

Israeli Heart Society Resources
The Israel Heart Society (IHS) was founded in 1952 in Haifa and currently has 709 active members. The aims of the Society: to enhance the professional and scientific knowledge of therapy and prevention of heart diseases in Israel. IHS is a formal society of the Israel Medical Association, and acts as a formal representative of the cardiology community in Israel as recognized by its scientific committee.

BCS Resources
The British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) was founded in 1922 and has evolved into a complex organisation that plays a pivotal role in the delivery of cardiovascular health across the UK. There are currently over 2,500 members of the BCS. The membership is growing steadily and includes the great majority, probably 90%, of UK consultant cardiologists. Many Specialist registrars, GPs with a special interest, Nurses and other professionals with an interest in cardiovascular medicine are also member.
